L’Atelier du Miel provides honey lovers with premium high-quality and unique honey products. Our aim is to share our discoveries with our customers and help them immerse themselves in nature, craftsmanship, and good taste. L’Atelier du Miel remains faithful to the same honey culture that originally started in the founder’s mother’s kitchen.
In “The Moving Hive” program (“TMH”), every step is done at the host’s premises providing full transparency during production, from installation to harvest and filling. Because every location is unique, the customer will be producing its unique honey.
These terms and conditions are between L’Atelier du Miel (hereinafter referred to as “ADM”, “Our”, “We” and “Us”) and the customer, as the party interested in purchasing home-grown honey from Atelier du Miel (referred to as “the Customer”, “You” and “Them”).
We reserve the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. For this reason, we encourage you to review these terms and conditions regularly.
Eligibility
By using or purchasing products on our website, you represent that you are eighteen (18) years of age or older.
Services
L’Atelier du Miel will be producing honey for the customer in the specific location determined by the Customer (the “Location”), and during a period of 2 to 4 months between May 1st and September 20th.
The colonies/beehives (the “Colony(ies)” or “Beehive”) remain Atelier du Miel’s property, and we will bear all costs related to maintaining them, transporting them, in addition to all other expenses that might be incurred in relation thereto.
We guarantee a minimum production of 6 kilograms of honey of all Colonies as an average per location (the “Committed Honey Yield”). In the event that the amount of production is less than the Committed Honey Yield, we will compensate the Customer with the difference. In the event the yield exceeds the Committed Honey Yield, the excess of kilograms can be sold to the customer at 22$ (includes 850g Jar and Label).
It should be very well understood by the Customer that a frame which contains bees larvas is not a harvestable frame and therefore the honey contained therein cannot be extracted. In order for a frame to be harvestable it should not contain any bee larvas.
We ensure full transparency throughout the TMH process, including the installation of the beehives, the regular inspection, the extraction of honey, the filling in jars and the labeling. All of the aforementioned steps shall be undertaken at the customer’s premises.
The Customer shall have the option to request the extraction to be done at ADM premises at no extra charge. Such a decision should be communicated to ADM 2 days prior to the extraction date.
L’Atelier du Miel shall conduct a scouting visit for all new Customer in order to make sure that:

• (a) The installation of the Colonies shall not cause any harm to third parties.
• (b) The Location chosen by the Customer is secure.
• (c) Feasibility considering the availability of natural resources in the Location.

L’Atelier du Miel will notify the customer 24 hours prior to every inspection and a week earlier prior to installation, harvest, and removal.
In the event of natural resources scarcity
L’Atelier du Miel has the right to relocate the beehives to a different location at any time during the season if it deems, at its sole discretion, that the natural resources turn out to be insufficient during a specific year.
The customer shall have the right to choose (i) reimbursement of 50% in cash of the paid amount or (ii) compensation of the Committed Honey Yield or (iii) the yield generated by the same Colonies in the ADM bee park they are allocated to.
Responsibility
The customer must ensure access to the site for L’Atelier du Miel team at any time to maintain the Colonies, noting that the Customer will be notified 24 hours prior to any scheduled visit.
L’Atelier du Miel will ensure complete decency and respect for the customer's privacy during inspections.
The Customer shall be responsible in the event of any negligence, gross negligence or willful misconduct which results in any harm to the Colonies while in its custody at the Location.
In case there is no adequate room that is provided for the extraction or that the decision has not been communicated to ADM 2 days prior the extraction date, the extraction will be done at ADM premises at no extra charge.
Payment and Charges Customers shall be charged two hundred thirty five dollars /235 USD/ per Colony including 7 Jars and 7 Standard Labels.
If the Customer chooses to benefit from the label customizations as well as the filling in different jar sizes provided by ADM, an additional fee as follow:

• 1- Jar size : Replace 850g jar with a 450g or 230g jar Price:$1.50 (price includes label)
• 2- Item design: Plan A (label only) : $25.00 Plan B (label + postcard + bag): $50.00
• 3- Production fees of add-ons: Bag: 1.50$ each Postcard: 0.60$ each

TMH fees shall be paid in two equal installments: 50% on confirmation of the order and 50% on installation of the Beehives.
Governing Law and Competent Jurisdiction
This Agreement represents the entire agreement between ADM and the Customer with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersede any and all prior and contemporaneous written and oral representations, understandings, and agreements, express and implied, and will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Lebanon. The competent courts to rule over any dispute between ADM and the Customer(s) shall be the courts of Baabda.
