In touch with the wild
L’Atelier du Miel has quickly emerged as a loved startup that wishes to share its discoveries with its customers and help them immerse themselves in nature, craftsmanship and good taste. Many of our clients are passionate people, loving mothers and fathers who love to share the different ways they contribute to a greener environment and a healthier lifestyle.
Bees are the cornerstone of nature, and the main driver of pollination. With increasing urbanisation, wild endemic plants are threatened of extinction. Bee populations from artisanal beekeeping, help preserve these wild plants. Moreover, beekeeping, as a practice in rural areas, creates value from the wilderness, encouraging locals to preserve it.
We choose to live in cities where nature is not pushed out. We made this a reality, with the support of an increasing number of partners, who each year install beehives in their premises, from government institutions to corporations, hotels, museums and private houses.
Introducing communities to beekeeping supports biodiversity, helps create local job opportunities, and promotes wilderness promotion activities. With two programs in Akoura and Kaa in 2019, and in collaboration with Aurora and LRI, l’Atelier du Miel has trained more than 25 beekeepers and donated more than 200 hives.
